The New Conflict Between the Okoye Brothers: When the Song ‘Winning’ Becomes a Source of Discord

The music industry is a scene where artistic rivalries can sometimes take unexpected turns. Recently, Peter Okoye, aka Mr. P, one half of the legendary musical duo, released a new EP featuring the songs ‘Winning’ and ‘Attention’. However, ‘Winning’ has become the source of a new conflict between the brothers.

In an Instagram post that shocked many fans, Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy, claims to be the author of ‘Winning’ and uploads a demo to back up his claims, adding a new chapter to their ongoing feud.

“Song Title: WINNING

Written and performed by RUDEBOY

Produced by the same producer.

BUT HOW? AM I SUPPOSED TO RELEASE ANOTHER VERSION? Mr Producer, your situation will be solved another day…

Just one simple thing: Bring 6 songs and I will do the same… I submitted my 6 songs to the so-called management. Why do you feel my song, word for word 🤷🏾‍♂️ A song that was supposed to be on my album next year in June,” the caption of the post reads in Pidgin English.

According to Rudeboy, he submitted ‘Winning’ as one of the six songs he had written for P-Square’s canceled reunion album. The song seems to be a message to the feuding brothers who continue to ignore calls from fans and stakeholders to settle their differences. ‘Winning’ has taken an ironic turn as it has become the subject of a new intellectual theft row between the brothers.

Mr. P has yet to respond to Rudeboy’s claim in this public dispute between the brothers, who have been feuding for nearly a decade. The situation highlights the complexity of family and professional relationships in the music industry, and underscores the importance of communication and mutual respect in maintaining successful collaborations.
