This article relates the growing internal conflicts within the Union for the Congolese Nation (UNC) of Vital Kamerhe. The party is divided between members who defend the values of equity and justice of Vital Kamerhe Libela (VKL) and a small group that advocates nepotism, clientelism and discrimination. The tensions are such that the Honorable Mirindi Cyarangabo, a National Deputy, resigned from all his functions within the National Council of the UNC. In this perspective, VKL is committed to consolidating the values of their leader to counter the rise of anti-values. However, the future of the UNC depends on the neutralization of selfishness and egocentrism observed in some officials.

The CENCO-ECC Electoral Observation Mission (EOM) has raised concerns about the call for candidates for the external audit of the electoral register of the Democratic Republic of Congo by the CENI. The EOM raised doubts about the independence of the CENI and the possibility of a biased or manipulated report.
