Promising restart of the Arena Kinshasa project: A new era for infrastructure in the DRC

The resumption of construction work on the Arena Kinshasa complex marks a crucial milestone in the infrastructure landscape in the Democratic Republic of Congo. After a period of pause due to irregularities and excessive costs, this restart underlines the commitment of the authorities to successfully complete this major project.

Under the aegis of the Congolese Agency for Major Works (ACGT), the construction site is now closely supervised to ensure compliance with the agreed standards and deadlines. The project manager, Francine Nsimbi, ensures rigorous coordination between the various stakeholders involved for execution in accordance with established standards.

In close collaboration with the Technical Coordination Office and the Civil Building, the ACGT ensures that the work is carried out in the best conditions and that the materials used meet quality requirements. This collaborative approach strengthens confidence in the completion of this major infrastructure.

On the side of the Milvest company, represented by engineer Linus Balabala, the commitment is clear: to respect the delivery deadline set for September 2025. With a clear desire to keep this ultimatum, all stakeholders are working together to complete this project within the allotted time.

Beyond technical considerations, the strategic vision of the Head of State to modernize the country and stimulate economic development is materialized through this major infrastructure. The Inspector General of Finance underlines the capital importance of this achievement for the transformation of the urban landscape and the creation of significant economic opportunities.

By relaunching work on the Arena Kinshasa, the Congolese authorities are sending a strong message: that of the determination to carry out structuring projects for the future of the country. This restart marks the beginning of a new phase in the construction of this emblematic venue, thus offering promising prospects for the entire Congolese population.
