The electronic payments revolution in the DRC thanks to Multipay Congo and its new alliance with the national electronic money switch

The world of electronic payments in the Democratic Republic of Congo is taking on a new dimension with the introduction of Multipay Congo’s Multipay solution, which has just connected to the national electronic payment switch. This technological advancement will allow the processing of Mosolo card transactions, an interoperable card that will offer Congolese people the ability to access their money from any Equity BCDC, FirstBank and Rawbank terminal.

In a recent interview on Fatshimetrie, Olivier Bueno, CEO of Multipay Congo, highlighted the importance of this collaboration with the national electronic payment switch as part of the Central Bank of Congo’s (BCC) vision to strengthen the interoperability of payment systems in the country. According to him, this initiative will foster innovation and improve the overall efficiency of the payments industry, while making financial services more accessible and affordable for the Congolese population.

One of the main advances of this new integration is the Multipay-agent application, downloadable on mobile phones, which will facilitate financial transactions and offer users a simplified and secure payment experience. Thanks to this application, users will be able to carry out financial transactions with complete convenience, thus strengthening financial inclusion in the country and facilitating access to essential banking services.

This advancement in the field of financial services in the DRC demonstrates Multipay Congo’s commitment to promoting technological innovation and supporting the country in its transition to a more inclusive digital economy. By promoting the interoperability of payment systems and offering practical and accessible solutions, Multipay Congo contributes to improving the consumer experience and strengthening the efficiency of the Congolese financial sector.

In conclusion, the connection of the Multipay solution to the national electronic payment switch marks an important step in the evolution of the electronic payments sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This initiative promises to facilitate access to financial services, stimulate innovation and strengthen financial inclusion in the country.
