Fatshimetrie, November 1, 2024. In a turbulent context, the National Institute for Vocational Preparation (INPP) has begun work on its budget session for the year 2025. This major event opened during a solemn ceremony at the headquarters of the provincial management of the INPP in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
During his opening speech, Godefroy Stanislas Tshimanga, Director General of the INPP, stressed the importance of this budget session as a decisive moment to develop the strategic orientations that will guide the institute towards excellence. He expressed the need to adapt the INPP to the requirements of the government and current socio-economic challenges, while emphasizing the collective commitment to strengthening the efficiency and competitiveness of the institution.
The progress made during the 2024 financial year was welcomed, but it was stressed that these efforts must be intensified for the coming year. They made it possible to organize enhanced training for INPP staff and to renew cooperation with the institution’s partners.
The objectives for the year 2025 are ambitious, with a desire to strengthen the financial structure of the INPP while respecting the budgetary guidelines set by the Board of Directors. The proposed allocations, namely 55% for salaries, 32% for operating expenses and 13% for investments, illustrate the desire to guarantee the sustainability of the institution while ensuring its development.
During this budget session, participants are invited to focus on the strategic priorities of the INPP, to contribute to its modernization and to standardize training programs and the certification of trainers. The exchanges between the provincial directorates aim to improve the budget document by taking into account the challenges encountered during the previous financial year.
Furthermore, Mr. Consman Mvu, INPP’s financial director, stressed the importance of providing the institution with a complete working tool, reflecting activities in terms of revenue and expenditure. He also highlighted the need to consider areas of intervention to provide quality vocational training to the entire Congolese population.
Finally, the chairman of the board of directors, Jean-Marie Lukulasi, encouraged the provincial directorates to improve the budget document by taking into account the lessons learned from the previous year.
This work, which will take place over two weeks, from November 1 to 16, 2024, represents a crucial step in ensuring the proper functioning of this public institution. It is part of a dynamic of development and adaptation to the country’s new socio-economic challenges.
The INPP’s vision for the year 2025 is resolutely forward-looking, with the aim of supporting the vision of the President of the Republic and contributing to the sustainable development goals set by the government. The budget session is thus part of a process of progress and excellence, aimed at strengthening the INPP’s position as a major player in vocational training in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
