Confusion reigns in the South-East: IPOB denounces an illegal lockdown order.

Fatshimetrie recently reported a story of a tense situation in the South East region after a voice message went viral warning residents to stay indoors on October 21 and 22. The order, which created a climate of fear, threatened to crack down on those who did not comply.

The news caused panic among residents, leading to the postponement or cancellation of official activities in schools, courts and businesses.

In response, IPOB said the stay-at-home order was illegal and claimed that the order did not come from their organization.

In a statement to Punch newspaper, IPOB spokesperson Emma Powerful stressed that the order came from “criminals” and “infiltrators” based in Finland who are not part of their movement. He urged the people of the South East to ignore the order and go about their normal lives on those days.

Emma Powerful added that IPOB has suspended all sit-in orders at home and any such statements from other sources should be considered as criminals to be ignored.

This situation highlights the importance of clear and official communication when it comes to public safety directives. Residents must be able to distinguish legitimate messages from imposters who seek to sow confusion and fear.

The story also highlights the need for heightened vigilance against viral news that can quickly lead to chain reactions in society. It is therefore essential to verify sources and not give in to the spread of fake news.

Ultimately, it is essential for residents of the South East to stay informed and be wary of messages that could compromise their safety and peace of mind. Unity and solidarity within the community can help prevent attempts at manipulation and ensure a peaceful and prosperous future for all.
