Rehabilitation of Wangata Avenue in Kinshasa: a decisive step towards the modernization of road infrastructure

Fatshimetrie, the event so eagerly awaited by the inhabitants of Kinshasa, is becoming clearer day by day as the rehabilitation work on Wangata Avenue is progressing rapidly. This project, launched by the governor of the city last September, aims to modernize and improve the road infrastructure of the Congolese capital, particularly in the south of the city.

The rehabilitation of Wangata Avenue, which extends over a length of 2.5 km, represents a real relief for road users, who have long been faced with traffic jams on this section. Indeed, the establishment of this secondary road parallel to Avenue des Huileries will help to smooth traffic flow and facilitate travel in the region.

The work, carried out by the company JIN JIN international SARL, has reached a crucial stage with the installation of reinforcements at the intersection of Wangata Avenue and Rwakading Avenue. This phase marks a significant step forward in the rehabilitation process of this important artery of Kinshasa, which connects Colonel Ebeya Avenue to the Stade des Martyrs de la Pentecôte.

The involvement of Governor Daniel Bumba in this project is welcomed by the local population, who see this initiative as a real change for the city. Residents are eagerly awaiting the delivery of this renovated road before the end of the year, with the aim of finding a more modern and functional road network.

In short, the resumption of rehabilitation work on Wangata Avenue in Kinshasa is an important step towards improving the urban infrastructure of the Congolese capital. This initiative demonstrates the willingness of local authorities to meet the needs of the population in terms of transport and road traffic. Once completed, this work will undoubtedly contribute to making citizens’ lives easier and more pleasant.
