Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptians Abroad, Badr Abdelatty, stressed the importance of the relationship between Egypt and El Salvador, pledging to strengthen bilateral cooperation and expand its scope to many areas. He also announced the upcoming holding of a new round of joint political consultations in Cairo this year to explore ways to promote cooperation.
These statements were made during a meeting with Alexandra Hill Tinoco, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of El Salvador, on the sidelines of the high-level segment of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Abdelatty particularly stressed the importance of promoting economic, trade and investment relations between the two countries, particularly in the fields of agriculture, textiles, livestock, pharmaceuticals and tourism.
He highlighted Egypt’s efforts to attract foreign direct investment and encouraged Salvadoran investors to seize the promising investment opportunities offered by the Egyptian market.
During their meeting, the two ministers agreed to intensify consultation and coordination on issues of mutual interest at the international level.
