Edo State Fatshimetric Election: A Crucial Choice for the Future

Fatshimetrie has been at the center of recent news, providing a fresh perspective on the political landscape in Edo State. As the September 2024 government elections fast approach, voters are faced with a crucial choice: break with the past dominance of the PDP and APC parties or continue with the same old political practices.

A prominent local stakeholder, Nosa Osaikhuiwu, has stressed the need to vote for the Party of Workers candidate, Olumide Akpata. According to him, the broken promises of the major political parties have plunged Edo State into poverty, insecurity, and unemployment. He warns of the consequences of a poor electoral choice, recalling that the well-being of the people of the state is at stake.

The call to vote for a change in political direction is clear. The last twenty-four years of shared rule between the PDP and APC have left deep scars. Corruption, incompetence and lack of vision have left many parts of Edo State derelict. Residents are fed up with empty promises and opportunistic politicians who hop from party to party with no real commitment to the people.

Today, the alternative comes in the form of the Workers Party and its candidate, Olumide Akpata. Voters have the opportunity to choose authentic leadership, focused on public service and progress for all. The memory of the glory days of the former governor, the late Brigadier General Samuel Ogbemudia, still looms over Edo State, recalling a time when excellence and the well-being of citizens came before the personal ambitions of politicians.

In these crucial times, when the future of the state is at stake, voters have the power to shape their destiny. They can turn the page on a past of corruption and mediocrity to open a new chapter of prosperity and harmony. The choice of September 21, 2024 will resonate as a strong message: the time for change has come, and Edo State is preparing to write a new story, a story of renewal and hope for all its people.
