Strengthening ties between Morocco and the DRC through university scholarships

Kinshasa, June 25, 2024 (ACP) – The second edition of university scholarships awarded to Congolese students by Morocco was at the center of discussions in Kinshasa. Moroccan Ambassador Rachid Agassim spoke following his meeting with Ms. Gracia Yamba Kazadi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. This joint initiative aims to facilitate the selection of scholarship recipients for studies in Morocco, thus strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.

The Ambassador stressed the importance of relations between Morocco and the DRC, describing them as exemplary and emphasizing Morocco’s continued commitment to the DRC since their independence. He also addressed the issue of state sovereignty, calling for respect for that of all African countries, including the DRC. In the context of the aggression perpetrated by Rwanda, Morocco affirms its willingness to support the DRC and promote cooperation and education for young people.
