The recent report on the distribution of petroleum products for the first half of 2023, published by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), raises interesting and revealing figures. With an increase of 3.29%, the total volume of 11.94 billion liters of premium fuel (PMS) imported during this period, compared to the 11.56 billion liters recorded during the first half of 2022, highlights a growth trend.
Furthermore, the report reveals that a significant quantity of 2.83 billion liters of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) was imported during the same period, an impressive increase of 49.72% compared to the 1.89 billion liters imported in the first half of 2022.
The figures for local distribution are also interesting. With 11.48 billion liters of PMS sold via trucks during the first half of 2023, there is a slight decrease of 5.83% compared to the 12.19 billion liters distributed during the same period in 2022. Regarding Domestic Kerosene (HHK), a quantity of 26.07 million liters was produced locally in the first half of 2023, an increase of 16.7% compared to the 22.33 million liters produced in 2022.
For diesel, the report indicates that 55.48 million liters were produced locally in the first half of 2023, marking an increase of 10.54% compared to the 50.19 million liters produced during the first half of 2022.
