Dr. A.S. Roger Ngatu Nlandu: An internationally renowned Congolese researcher at the service of science and public health

Dr. Roger Ngatu Nlandu is a Congolese researcher and inventor who currently holds a position at the National University of Kagawa in Japan. His academic and professional background is impressive, demonstrating his expertise in the field of public health and scientific research.

Prior to joining Kagawa National University, Dr. Ngatu worked as a researcher and associate professor of public health at Kochi Prefectural University and the International University of Health and Welfare in Tokyo. He is the owner of two inventions and has won four research prizes, including the best researcher prize awarded by the National University of Kochi in 2012.

Dr. Ngatu is a member of the International Forum of Congolese Intellectuals Abroad (FICE) and of the Association of Friends and Alumni of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Kinshasa (Afmed-Unikin). He received his medical training at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Kinshasa and obtained his medical degree in 1997.

Subsequently, he continued his training in epidemiology and public health at the Victor Segalen University of Bordeaux in France. In 2007, he joined the Department of Environmental Medicine and Occupational Health at the National University of Kochi in Japan, where he obtained his medical degree with honors in 2012.

Dr. Ngatu is also the co-supervisor of several master’s and doctoral theses for Japanese and Congolese scholars. He is a prolific author, with more than 105 scientific articles published in journals of international impact, and editor of two books.

Its involvement in the first Conclave of Congolese Scientific Engineering testifies to its commitment to promoting “Made in Congo” inventions and innovations. His expertise and experience make him a key figure in the field of scientific research in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
