“A wind of renewal in the Congolese industry: tiles and earthenware “made in Congo” soon available on the Kinshasa market”

The production of “made in Congo” tiles and earthenware is about to enter the Kinshasa market. Thanks to the company Saphir Ceramics, Congolese consumers will soon be able to enjoy these products made locally in the special economic zone of Maluku.

The first productions of these Congolese factories, installed in the special economic zone of Maluku, will be delivered during the year 2023. The investors of the Agency of the special economic zones (AZES) as well as the experts of the financial authorities of the DRC were able to see the quality of these products during their on-site visit.

Currently, discussions are underway to fix the selling prices of these tiles and earthenware. It is essential to strike a balance so as not to compromise other investors in the sector and avoid unfair competition.

The objective of the Congolese government through the special economic zones is to reduce dependence on imports and promote local production. The creation of the special economic zone of Maluku has already enabled the creation of more than 300 jobs.

This initiative is part of the Industrialization Master Plan of the Democratic Republic of Congo (PDI-DRC), which aims to develop industrial infrastructure and promote the country’s economic growth.

The launch of the production of “made in Congo” tiles and earthenware is a significant step forward for Congolese industry. Not only will this stimulate the local economy, but it will also provide Congolese consumers with quality products made in their own territory.

It is encouraging to see that the DRC is investing in initiatives aimed at promoting local production and reducing dependence on imports. This contributes not only to job creation, but also to the economic development of the country as a whole.

In conclusion, the first production of “made in Congo” tiles and earthenware is a positive sign for the Congolese industry. We hope that this initiative encourages other companies to invest in local production and contribute to the economic development of the country. Congolese consumers will soon be able to enjoy quality products made on their own soil, which is a major step forward for the country’s economy
