“Launch of Enafep in Kasaï-Oriental: Despite the challenges of security and democracy, the education of future leaders continues”

The province of Kasai-Oriental in the Democratic Republic of Congo launched the 37th edition of the National Primary School Leaving Examination (Enafep) this Thursday, June 01, 2023, with a total of 149 organizing centers and more than 42,630 students. The students were encouraged by the governor of the province, Patrick Mathias Kabeya Matshi Abidi, to give the best of themselves, because they are the future managers of the country and the province.

However, the security situation in the DRC is very worrying and is causing serious concern throughout the country. Recently, a terrorist attack was perpetrated in Beni, in the east of the DRC, highlighting the need to work towards stabilizing the troubled regions and stopping this violence.

Furthermore, the restriction of access to social networks in the DRC has become a threat to democracy. Citizens’ movements have denounced the government’s forcing and called for the suspension of the bill on the distribution of seats.

Despite these lingering concerns, the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) has seen its efforts praised by Western embassies for its work in preparing for the upcoming elections.

In the entrepreneurial field, the young Congolese entrepreneurs fair is a unique opportunity for the development of entrepreneurship in the DRC and for the training of young Congolese entrepreneurs.

Finally, the Congolese franc is stabilizing on the official foreign exchange market, but the informal market is still affected. The authorities are trying to solve this problem.

It is essential to remember that only in-depth work on the various socio-economic and security aspects of Congolese society can guarantee a prosperous future for Congo and its people.
