**Title:** New operation to issue duplicate voter cards in the DRC
**Introduction :**
The Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has announced the start of a new operation to gradually issue duplicate voter cards. This measure aims to allow voters who have lost their cards or whose writings have become illegible to be able to exercise their right to vote in the next elections. The CENI also draws the population’s attention to the existence of networks of producers of false duplicate voter cards. In order to avoid any fraud, the commission asks all public and private services that hold lost or abandoned voter cards, as well as anyone who has found a lost voter card, to drop them off every working day at the headquarters of the CENI.
