The Rap and Slam Festival, called Festiras, will make its big comeback in Bukavu in South Kivu for its second edition. This cultural event will bring together thousands of rap and slam lovers from July 28 to 29, 2023 at Alfajiri College. A quality poster will be offered to festival-goers, with renowned artists such as La Fouine, MPR, Yekima de Bel’Art and many others.
The presence of La Fouine, star figure of this edition, promises to be a great moment for the inhabitants of Bukavu. The Franco-Moroccan rapper, known for his successful titles such as “Tous les memes” and “Quand je partirai”, will seduce the public with his rich and varied repertoire.
The MPR duo, made up of Yuma Dash and Zozo Machine, will also be present to delight festival-goers with their committed texts on the daily reality of the average Congolese. Songs such as “Malembe” and “Lobela ye Français” will resonate during this event.
Yekima de Bel’Art, nicknamed “Le Poésident”, is a committed artist who has created a unique style mixing poetry, Afro-Congolese sounds, RnB and rap, called AFROSLAM. His lively music and powerful lyrics have already won over many listeners around the world. Titles such as “I present to you Kinshasa” and “Le tour du monde de la Francophonie” have been acclaimed by the international media.
In addition to these renowned artists, other talents such as Bolivar Mvulu and Afande Ready will be present to add their personal touch to this festival.
