Africa is a continent that abounds in immense natural wealth, but also with a predominantly young population. It is from this observation that Senator Francine Muyumba wrote “Ensuring the emergence of Africa through its Youth”, a book which was presented during a colorful opening.
This event saw the participation of the authorities of the Senate and the National Assembly, deputies and senators as well as other personalities such as ambassadors, customary chiefs, eminent professors and young people of all tendencies.
In her book, Francine Muyumba explains that if Africa wants to emerge, it must bet on its youth by offering them the necessary means to play their role in the transformation of society. She thus calls on young Africans to be proud to live in this era, because they have the power to participate in major changes in their respective countries.
The author, who has extensive experience in supervising youth associations and who participated in the development of the African Union’s Agenda 2063, offers possible solutions to help the governments of African countries, the youth ministries, etc., to maximize the tremendous potential of African youth in the emergence of the continent.
The opening of her book was an opportunity for her to thank the hundreds of people who participated, and to present her new work as a writer, adding a new title to those already acquired, namely Ambassador, Lawyer and Senator.
Overall, Senator Muyumba aims to transform African youth into a real asset for the emergence of the continent. And this, by offering him the means to play his role in society, and by encouraging him to be proud to participate in the transformation of Africa.
In short, it is important to understand that natural resources will always be there, but it is young Africans who are the actors of tomorrow. And to help them play their role, it is essential to offer them education and the means to develop and thus aspire to a better future for Africa.
