“SACIM: How the government of Félix Tshisekedi revealed the crooked actions of Ngoyi Kasanji for the well-being of the Congolese people”

The “Anhui/Congo Mining Investment Company” (SACIM) file is currently causing a lot of ink to flow in the socio-political universe of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Independent analysts recently revealed behind the scenes of this affair which involves crooked and selfish Congolese, in particular Ngoyi Kasanji, better known by the nickname “Tonton Ngokas”.

According to these observers, Ngoyi Kasanji, formerly governor of Kasaï-Oriental under the regime of Joseph Kabila, is among those who contributed to the loss of Congo in the Sino-Congolese partnership SACIM. Also called executioner of the Kasaians, Ngoyi Kasanji is known to have left his conquered territory between 2007 and early 2019 in a state of abject poverty.

It turned out that until the advent of the current President Félix Tshisekedi to the supreme magistracy in early 2019, an equitable sharing of 50% was planned for each of the parties within the framework of the SACIM, China 50% and DRC partnership. 50%. However, this clause was never executed since all the production was sold outside the country and the share going to the DRC benefited more to Ngoyi Kasanji.

Faced with this injustice, the government of Félix Tshisekedi decided to create Tenders to place the country in the perspective of the installation and development of a stock market for mineral substances supervised by the Center for expertise, evaluation and certification (CEEC). From now on, the receipts collected by the public treasury are far superior to those realized before.

It was this decision to open sales of SACIM diamonds with the creation of the Tenders that annoyed Ngoyi Kasanji. Indeed, before this measure, only a certain Kalambayi bought the large stones produced by SACIM on behalf of Ngoyi Kasanji, owner of a mining company operating within the perimeter of the space polygon belonging to Miba. Conversely, the other Congolese had to content themselves with buying small stones.

The Tenders, governed by a standard taken to compensate for the blunders noted under the old regime, have thus created favorable sales spaces allowing any buyer capable of concluding the market to do so freely and according to the terms of decree No. 0049/CAB.MIN/MINES/01/2022, setting the regulations on the Tenders of mineral substances supervised by the CEEC.

Finally, the patriotism of President Felix Tshisekedi, which has brought to light the actions of some crooked and selfish Congolese, is to be welcomed. The Congolese are now the first to benefit from the mineral wealth of their country and the economic benefits are considerable. Let’s hope this new path paves the way for more justice and fairness for the Congolese people.
