The book “Rwanda, Assassin Without Borders” by English journalist Michela Wrong was presented on May 11 during a book signing at the University of Kinshasa. This presentation was organized by the Student Coordination and the Legal Café of the university, in collaboration with the Max Milo editions. In this book, the author denounces the abuse of power of the Kagame regime in Rwanda, its human rights violations and its expansionist policy in the Great Lakes region.
During this dedication session, Michela Wrong also criticized the support given by Western governments to the Rwandan regime, especially France and the United Kingdom, despite the many damning reports on the situation in the country. She also discussed with university students on regional security and related geopolitical issues.
Michela Wrong’s book was very well received by the students, who expressed their support for the ideas it conveys as well as their satisfaction at having been able to discuss directly with the author. After Kinshasa, Michela Wrong will travel to Brussels next week to present her book to the Rwandan and Congolese community.
This presentation was an opportunity for students to learn about the situation in Rwanda and the Great Lakes region, as well as the geopolitical issues related to this situation. It also highlighted the need to support freedom of the press and the defense of human rights in this region of the world.
