The rehabilitation works of the International Fair of Kinshasa (Fikin) have been suspended due to persistent differences between the Turkish company Milvet and the Congolese party represented by the management committee of this tourist site. The officials of Fikin refused the disproportionate demands of the Turkish company, in particular the rental of 6 hectares for their headquarters for a period of 10 years. The project included the construction of an exhibition center, an amusement park, a shopping center, a multifunctional arena with 20,000 seats and a conference center. The parties involved have yet to meet to find a compromise and allow the suspended work to continue until further notice.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has launched a new mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), in the province of Ituri, to document crimes against humanity committed by armed groups in this region since the 2000s.
