The Democratic Republic of Congo is facing a serious humanitarian crisis in the east of the country, which has led to the displacement of more than 6.3 million people and the death of 2,750 civilians this year. Congolese MP Edouard Mwangachuchu is suspected of complicity with Rwanda in supporting the armed group M23, as well as treason, participation in an insurrectionary movement, espionage and illegal possession of weapons of war.
