As part of a joint mission, Prime Minister Judith Suminwa and Kinshasa Governor Daniel Bumba embarked on an inspection tour of several major road rehabilitation and construction sites in the capital. This initiative aims to closely assess the progress of work on the ground, thus underlining the authorities’ commitment to improving the city’s road infrastructure.

The tour kicked off on Kulumba Avenue, a crucial axis located in the commune of Masina. Work on this road, which connects Poids Lourds Avenue to 15th Street in Limete, is progressing rapidly. Once completed, this road will help relieve congestion on Lumumba Boulevard, thereby reducing traffic jams and improving traffic flow in this densely populated area.

The official delegation continued its visit to other important renovation sites, including Flambeau, Tombalbay, Wangata, Kabambare, Zigida, and Kisangani avenues in Bandalungwa, to end its journey in Pumbu, in the commune of Gombe. During their stop on Colonel Ebeya Avenue, the authorities welcomed the significant progress made, particularly the section between Huileries and Wangata, where the concreting work is already well advanced, testifying to the efficiency of the teams on the ground.

Following this in-depth inspection, Prime Minister Judith Suminwa expressed satisfaction with the progress noted. However, she reiterated the importance of respecting the deadlines set for the completion of the work, stressing the urgency of these projects for the well-being of the inhabitants of Kinshasa. Recognized as the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kinshasa deserves quality road infrastructure that matches its status, and the government is committed to supporting Governor Daniel Bumba in his mission to restore the city to its majestic and dynamic appearance.

In conclusion, this inspection tour highlights the critical importance of the ongoing road rehabilitation and construction work in Kinshasa. By investing in improving infrastructure, local authorities are not only helping to facilitate citizen mobility and the economic development of the city, but also to strengthen its tourist appeal and restore its reputation as “Kin la belle”.
