Key meeting between Badr Abdelatty and Khaled Anani for UNESCO candidacy


Fatshimetrie: Meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration, Badr Abdelatty, and the former Minister of Tourism and UNESCO candidate for the position of Director General, Khaled Anani, to establish an action plan for the nomination campaign.

As part of the periodic follow-up of the Egyptian nomination file for the position, Abdelatty received Anani on Saturday 21/12/2024 to learn about the latest developments in the campaign.

During this meeting, the international support of France and Brazil for Egypt’s candidacy for the position was discussed, said the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tamim Khallaf.

Anani presented the results of the intensive tours organized recently by the ministry in several countries in Asia, Europe, Latin America and Africa, during which he met with senior officials to hear the priorities of each country in relation to UNESCO fields, the spokesperson added.

He expressed his gratitude to all state bodies, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Egyptian delegation to UNESCO, as well as all Egyptian embassies, for the efforts made in the framework of its candidacy.
