Fatshimetrie: The fight against crime in Goma

The city of Goma, located in the North Kivu province of the Democratic Republic of Congo, was recently the subject of a presentation of alleged bandits by Senior Commissioner Faustin Kapend Kamand. This action was carried out as part of the weekly operation “Safisha muji wa Goma na kandokando”, aimed at strengthening security and combating crime in the region.

During this presentation to the press, the Mayor of Goma highlighted the effectiveness of the coordinated actions of the defense and security forces, as well as the active participation of the population, in reducing criminal acts. Thanks to these joint efforts, the trend towards the commission of criminal acts is decreasing in the city, marking a significant step forward in the fight against crime.

Senior Commissioner Faustin Kapend Kamand noted a significant decrease in the number of weapons seized during the operations, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the measures taken to ensure the security of the inhabitants of Goma. According to him, each weapon removed from illegal circulation contributes to saving lives and protecting the population against the dangers associated with crime.

Furthermore, the mayor of the city praised the exemplary collaboration of the population with the police, stressing the importance of collective vigilance to prevent criminal acts. He recalled that the concealment of weapons and dangerous objects in harmless cargo shows the evolution of the methods used by criminals, thus calling for increased vigilance on the part of all.

At the same time, the NGO Martin King recently warned of the need to prevent acts of genocide in the city of Goma, highlighting the importance of remaining mobilized against all forms of violence and crime.

In conclusion, the presentation of the alleged bandits in Goma and the actions undertaken to combat crime demonstrate the commitment of the authorities and the population to ensure security and tranquility in the region.
