Strengthening Diplomatic Ties Between Sierra Leone and Egypt: A Promising Collaboration for the Future


The President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, recently had the opportunity to commend Egypt’s crucial role in building the country’s capacity. During a meeting with the new Egyptian Ambassador to Freetown, Rasha Soliman, Julius Maada Bio expressed his gratitude for Egypt’s support and expressed his wish to see cooperation between the two countries strengthen further.

In a context where diplomacy plays a vital role in promoting peace, development and economic growth, President Bio stressed the importance of diplomatic relations between nations. She affirmed her commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, especially after the signing of three memoranda of understanding between the two countries this year, including one with the Institute for Diplomatic Studies of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
