The ICPC seminar on Job Tracing and Anti-Corruption Efforts in Nigeria 2024 has brought to light a major issue that continues to plague the country. The Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission has revealed that several Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) are involved in job tracing practices, an alarming situation that requires immediate intervention.
ICPC Chairman Musa Aliyu, speaking at the event, said action will be taken against MDAs found to be involved in such wrongdoings. He stressed the importance of integrity and transparency in human resource management and commended the growing commitment of Nigerian youths to these core values. According to him, this awareness is a sign of renewed hope for the future of the nation.
The fight against sexual harassment in tertiary institutions was also highlighted at the seminar. Musa Aliyu stressed that this issue remains a priority for the ICPC and pledged to proactively eradicate this scourge.
