Plea for peace: the courageous voice of child victims and displaced persons of armed conflicts in the DRC

A moving plea for peace was launched by child victims of armed conflicts around Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo. They were received by the President of the National Assembly to convey a poignant message in favor of peace. The plea for peace launched by child victims and displaced persons of armed conflicts around Goma has captured the attention of the Congolese nation. In a strong symbolic gesture, a delegation of these young people was received by the President of the National Assembly, Vital Kamerhe, to deliver a poignant and urgent message: “Peace, nothing but peace”.

Accompanied by the Minister of Human Rights, Me Chantal Chambu Mwavita, and the Director General of the National Fund for Reparation of Victims of Conflict-Related Sexual Violence and Victims of Crimes against Peace and Security of Humanity, Patrick Fata, these children took a courageous step by submitting a memorandum to the President of the National Assembly.
