Mysterious disease wreaks havoc in Panzi, Kwango: health emergency to combat

Symptoms observed include fever, headache, cough, paleness and anemia. This worrying description suggests a critical and urgent health situation to be resolved.

Faced with this worrying situation, the provincial government reacted quickly by dispatching a team of epidemiological experts to the field. Their main mission is to identify the nature of this still unknown disease, by taking samples and sending them to the National Institute of Biomedical Research for in-depth analysis.

The Minister of Health stressed the importance of respecting hygiene rules and called on the population to be cautious while avoiding panic. He strongly recommended limiting travel in this health zone and observing the barrier gestures already established during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In this period of uncertainty and fear, the mayor of the Panzi sector, Alexis Kapenda, also launched an urgent appeal to the authorities for rapid and effective intervention to protect the local population against this deadly threat.

The situation remains worrying and requires collective mobilization to stem the spread of this unknown disease. Transparency, collaboration and the commitment of all are essential to overcome this health crisis and preserve the health and lives of the inhabitants of the Panzi region.
