Goma, 07 November 2024 – The situation within the Volcanological Observatory of Goma, in the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo, raises legitimate concerns regarding the payment of the specific staff bonus. Indeed, a correspondence addressed to the Head of State highlights the difficulties encountered by these dedicated scientists who closely monitor the active volcanoes in the region, in particular the Nyamulagira volcano and the gases of Lake Kivu.
