“Tonight, we carried out a comprehensive strike with 90 such missiles and 100 drones. 17 targets were hit. These were military installations, defense plants and their support systems. I repeat once again that these strikes on our part were also carried out in response to the incessant attacks on Russian territory by American ATACMS missiles. As has been said many times, there will always be a response from our side,” Putin said.
The Russian president warned that Moscow could launch more strikes with the new Oreshnik intermediate-range missile, and that future targets could include defense industry facilities and “decision-making centers” in Kyiv.
Meanwhile, in the capital of Kazakhstan, leaders of the Russian-dominated CSTO alliance met Thursday to discuss the international and regional situation.
