Development and Transparency: The Draft Budget Edict of the Province of Lomami for 2025


The province of Lomami, located in the heart of the Democratic Republic of Congo, recently unveiled its draft budget for the 2025 financial year. With a total amount balanced at 582,082,253,315.05 Congolese Francs, corresponding to approximately 204,239,738.00 US dollars, this budget marks a significant increase of 62% compared to the previous year.

The official submission of this budget was made by the Vice-Governor and Interim Governor of Lomami, Célestin Kayembe Tshiajitshibola, on Monday, November 25, 2024. This gesture recognizes the commitment of the provincial authorities to ensure transparent and efficient financial management to meet the development needs of the region.

Upon receiving this document, the Vice-President of the Provincial Assembly, Augustin Malangu Ndjibu, stressed the importance of the next step, namely the presentation and defense of the draft budget edict before the provincial deputies in plenary session.
