On Friday, November 22, 2024, the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) opened its doors to students of Bolingani technical high school, with the aim of raising awareness among these young people on the challenges of the fight against corruption and anti-values ​​in public management in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

During this guided tour, more than a hundred students were welcomed by the general inspectors and heads of the IGF tax revenue and public expenditure brigades. On the program: explanations on the functioning of the financial brigades, the procedures during field missions, and the importance of eradicating fraud. The students were thus able to understand the need to enforce the law and embody values ​​of integrity to build a better future for the DRC.

Nicolas Muhiya, Inspector General of Finance, stressed the importance of educating young people on these crucial issues. He recalled that youth are the foundation of society and that their commitment to the fight against corruption is essential for the future of the country. Students were thus encouraged to integrate these values ​​from now on to become agents of change in the future.

The principal of Bolingani High School, Sister Marie-Chantal Nsimba, expressed her gratitude to the IGF for this educational initiative. She stressed the importance of allowing young people to become immersed in these issues from an early age, so that they become responsible and engaged citizens.

Jules Alingete Key, Inspector General of Finance and Head of Department, highlighted the challenges posed by corruption and the importance of good governance for the development of the country.
