Fatshimetrie: The Kasai Central Seminar for Harmonious Provincial Development
In the heart of the Kasai Central province, a seminar of capital importance is currently being held, bringing together the Provincial Assembly and the provincial government. This gathering aims to strengthen the capacities of local institutions on crucial subjects such as the development of edicts, inclusive and transparent governance, as well as sustainable development. Under the watchful eye of a Senate delegation, led by Senator Jean Tshisekedi Kabasele, participants are invited to deepen their knowledge and apply it in their respective functions for the common good.
In his inaugural speech, Senator Kabasele stressed the importance of collaboration between the Provincial Assembly and the government to promote the development of the province. He also highlighted the involvement of the Senate as an emanation of the provinces, advocating for a generalization of this type of exchange for the benefit of the 26 provincial entities of the country.
The main theme of this seminar, focusing on institutional support for effective collaboration between the legislative and executive bodies, reflects the desire to establish public management oriented towards concrete results, in line with the sustainable development objectives. The 16 sub-themes addressed, divided into 6 distinct sections, cover a wide range of topics ranging from political ethics to strategic planning, including transparency and accountability.
Beyond the debates and exchanges, this seminar provides for the signing of acts of ethical commitment, the adoption of resolutions and recommendations, as well as the drafting of a final report intended for the Senate office. This is a unique opportunity for local actors to reaffirm their commitment to responsible governance and sustainable development.
Over the next few days, this seminar will be a privileged space for learning and sharing for all participants. By engaging in a forward-looking and collaborative approach, the Provincial Assembly and the government of Kasaï Central affirm their determination to work together for the general interest and the development of their community.
