The creation of the network of provincial assemblies for nature conservation in the Democratic Republic of Congo marks an important step in the preservation of biodiversity and the promotion of sustainable development. The representatives of the provincial assemblies of Maniema, Sankuru and Tshopo have committed to working together for the conservation of nature. This strengthened collaboration will make it possible to implement concrete actions in favor of the preservation of biodiversity and the fight against poaching.
The importance of nature conservation was highlighted by Lambert Makondjo, President of the Sankuru Provincial Assembly, who called for a real change in attitude and a real commitment to the environment. Mateus Kanga, President of the Tshopo Provincial Assembly, insisted on the need for peace and collaboration to rebuild and develop the region. He stressed the importance of investment in environmental preservation to attract new partners and foster economic development.
