A strategic meeting of capital importance for the economic development of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Africa as a whole will be held on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 November in Kinshasa. This is the 3rd edition of the African Debate on Economic Intelligence (DAIE), organized by the African Institute for Strategic Reflection (IARS) in collaboration with the School of Economic Warfare – Rabat Campus.
The event will bring together more than 250 participants and international experts within the College of Advanced Studies in Strategy and Defense (CHESD) to discuss the role of economic intelligence in the challenges facing the DRC. Key themes such as cybersecurity, territorial intelligence, the business climate and economic security will be at the heart of the debates, aimed at responding to the economic and geopolitical challenges of the African continent in a constantly changing global context.
To shed more light on this crucial meeting, Dadou Moano, IARS country representative for the DRC and Congo Brazzaville, shared his impressions and expectations in the magazine “Fatshimetrie” during the broadcast on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. He stressed the importance of building capacity in economic intelligence to face the current and future challenges of the region.
Beyond this strategic meeting, other topics animated the magazine “Fatshimetrie” that same day. A focus on accountability, the collaboration between the Federation of Enterprises of Congo and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to support economic operators in Kivu and Lwalaba, as well as the impact of the impassability of the RN2 Kamituga-Bukavu national road on Kamituga market prices were discussed.
The program presented by Emmanuel Elameji therefore offered a complete panorama of the current economic and socio-political issues in the DRC, highlighting the challenges but also the development prospects for the country and the region.
Ultimately, the African Economic Intelligence Debate is emerging as an essential event to nourish reflections and actions aimed at strengthening economic prosperity and stability in the region, offering innovative avenues of reflection for a more prosperous and resilient future.
