The meeting is set in Kinshasa for a major humanitarian and sports initiative, the first edition of “Kinshasa solidaire”. This project, led by Aurélien Logeais, promises to be a real catalyst for solidarity and peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
This major event scheduled for December 2 to 4 is intended to be a moment of sharing and commitment to Congolese youth, particularly the displaced children of Goma who will be at the heart of this mobilization. The objective is noble: to offer a fun and cultural space for these young people in precarious situations, while raising awareness of the importance of solidarity and peace in a country marked by conflicts.
The exceptional presence of the Variétés Club de France and the DRC all star selection for a peace match at the Stade des Martyrs testifies to the commitment of these players in the sports world to this cause. Personalities such as Shabani Nonda, Trésor Mputu, Biscotte Mbala, Fally Ipupa, Herman Hamisi, Ika De Jong, and many others will also be present at this meeting, which promises to be a great moment of solidarity and sharing.
Aurélien Logeais and the entire organizing team are committed to highlighting the generosity and commitment of each person towards vulnerable populations, by making this event a real lever for humanitarian assistance in Goma. The proceeds generated by this peace match will be donated in full to support sports coaching and humanitarian assistance projects, thus going beyond the simple framework of football to be part of a more global approach of solidarity and mutual aid.
Aziz Makukula, co-organizer of the event, emphasizes the importance of giving hope to these displaced children by offering them a moment of joy and support. He calls on everyone to mobilize to support this great cause, which goes beyond the boundaries of sport to touch the hearts of all those who believe in the power of solidarity and mutual aid.
The event’s ambassador, Ika De Jong Kibonge, invites all Congolese to mobilize and get involved with optimism and determination. She reminds us that “Kinshasa solidaire” is much more than a sporting event, it is a true demonstration of the strength and generosity of the Congolese people, a call for solidarity and unity in a context marked by challenges and conflicts.
In these difficult times when the DRC is facing major challenges, “Kinshasa solidaire” positions itself as a symbol of hope and fraternity, an opportunity to recall that solidarity and peace are the pillars of a united and resilient society. This event, beyond its sporting dimension, carries with it the hope of a better future for all, in a country where solidarity and mutual aid are more necessary than ever.
