Fatshimetrie, November 6, 2024 – A meeting of capital importance was held in Isiro, capital of the Haut-Uelé province in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This meeting was chaired by the provincial Minister of Sports and Recreation, with the aim of assessing the current situation of the sports sector in the region.
The objective of this morning of work was to draw up a complete inventory of sports in the Haut-Uelé province in order to realize the vision of the provincial governor, Jean Bakomito Gambu. Jacques Anzatepedanga, Minister of Sports and Recreation of the province, highlighted the issues and objectives of these discussions.

An envelope was even given to AS Martin at the end of the meeting to support its participation in a national competition.
This meeting was an opportunity for sports stakeholders in Haut-Uelé to mobilize around a common vision and strengthen commitment to the development of this crucial sector for the region’s youth. The launch of the modernization works of the Maman Mobutu stadium demonstrates the will of local authorities to create an environment conducive to the development of local sports talents.
