Grand Commemoration: The military parade marking the 70th anniversary of the 1954 Revolution in Algiers

This historic event was marked by the presence of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as well as many senior officials of the State and the revolutionary family.

Under the gaze of the Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army (ANP), Army General Saïd Chanegriha, President Tebboune supervised the parade of military formations representing all the forces of the ANP. To the sound of military music and 70 cannon shots, the parade brought together several heads of state and guests of honor from friendly countries, as well as members of the government and the diplomatic corps.

Furthermore, President Tebboune received the wishes of the Portuguese President, who expressed his desire to strengthen the relations of friendship and economic cooperation between Algeria and Portugal. This message of congratulations underlines the importance of the ties between the two countries and their mutual commitment to the progress and prosperity of their people.

Thousands of citizens gathered at the Sablettes promenade, proudly displaying the national emblem and singing patriotic songs, to attend the military parade. The rigorous organization provided by the security authorities and the services of the wilaya made it possible to provide a comfortable and secure environment for spectators.

On this memorable day, Algeria celebrated its history and paid tribute to the heroes of the Glorious Revolution of 1954. This military parade illustrates the national pride and the feeling of unity that animate the Algerian people, perpetuating the legacy of the fighters for freedom and independence.
