Fatshimetrie: Ecuadorian youth demand a prominent place in the provincial government

Fatshimetrie movement at the heart of current events in Equateur

The office of the national committee of the “Dynamic of young people engaged in change in Equateur” recently took a position in favor of a significant renewal within the provincial government of Equateur. This position was made official during a press conference held in Kinshasa, highlighting the demands of young people for better representation within decision-making bodies.

The recommendation made to Governor Bobo Boloko is unequivocal: appoint 70% of young technocrats in the new provincial government. This directive aims to frame future appointments by favoring competent and committed profiles, rather than partisan choices often accused of promoting corruption and bad governance.

Pierre Etoza Mokala, spokesperson for the Dynamic of young people engaged in change in Equateur, stressed the importance of this quota of young people within the provincial government to stimulate renewal and positive development in the province. By expressing their support for the re-elected governor, the National Committee calls for a real transformation of practices and mentalities to avoid the pitfalls of the past.

The Ecuadorian youth, gathered around this megastructure, thus demand a prominent place in the spheres of power to contribute proactively to the future of their province. This request is part of a desire to fight against mismanagement, financial crime and mismanagement, all evils that have hindered the development of Ecuador in the past.

This position taken by the Fatshimetrie movement illustrates the strong desire of young people to take their destiny in hand and to actively get involved in building a better future for their region. By emphasizing the expertise and commitment of young technocrats, this recommendation marks a crucial step towards a long-awaited renewal within the provincial government of Ecuador. The voice of youth is being heard, bringing a breath of fresh air and a vision resolutely turned towards progress and change.
