The consultation framework between the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) and representatives of civil society in Masimanimba recently revealed crucial information regarding the preparation of the upcoming elections. The newly formed team, headed by Aimé Makoso as head of antenna, Bienvenu Sango as logistician and Delu Lukangila as IT specialist, has attracted particular interest from local stakeholders.
This meeting allowed the second vice-president of the CENI, Didi Manara, to guarantee the financial support of the electoral operations by the government, as well as the establishment of adequate technical and security measures to ensure the smooth running of the poll scheduled for December 15.
The positive reaction of civil society in Masimanimba demonstrates its renewed confidence in the CENI and its commitment to organizing transparent and credible elections. Emmanuel Nakahosa, Secretary of Civil Society, expressed his satisfaction with the involvement of the electoral center in strengthening security, effectively deploying electoral materials and training temporary agents.
Beyond the presentation of the operational team, the meeting also highlighted the essential role of cartographers responsible for updating the cartographic situation of the territory in view of the upcoming elections. A precise electoral calendar was established, ranging from the accreditation of journalists, witnesses and observers, to the electoral campaign period, until election day and the publication of provisional results.
