Kano Pillars FC U-19 team involved in road accident ahead of crucial match

On this unfortunate day, the Kano Pillars FC U-19 football team was involved in a road accident while on their way to the New Jos Stadium to play their match of the 5th day of the maiden edition of the U-19 Youth League against Plateau United U-19 team.

The players, as well as the bus driver, were injured in the tragic incident. According to a tweet from X (formerly Twitter) of the club, several members of the team and the driver were sent to the hospital for medical attention.

In a poignant message, the club shared: “It is with deep sadness that we announce that the Kano Pillars FC U-19 team was involved in a road accident earlier today while on their way to the New Jos Stadium for their U-19 Youth League matchday 5 match against Plateau United U-19 team. Several players and the driver were injured in the unfortunate incident and were rushed to hospital for medical attention. Fortunately, no deaths have been reported at this stage, and the medical team is closely monitoring the situation.”
