The first Forum on Digital Skills and Youth Employment, jointly organized by FSPEEJ and Africa Digital Academy, proved to be a meeting of crucial importance for the future of young talents in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Bringing together the main players in the digital sector, this event highlighted the urgent need for young people to master technological tools in order to effectively integrate into the modern labor market.
Under the auspices of the Minister of Youth and Patriotic Awakening, Noëlla Ayeganagato, the strategic importance of digital technology as a key lever for socio-economic development was highlighted. The promotion of digital skills among young people is fully in line with the vision of President Félix Tshisekedi and Prime Minister Judith Suminwa, who are working tirelessly for the emergence of a national policy favorable to the development of young talents in the country.
During this event, a precise inventory of the challenges and opportunities encountered in the development of digital skills in the DRC was drawn up. It became clear that coordination and inclusiveness are key factors in promoting an increase in digital skills on a national scale.
Joseph Mbuyi Mukendi, in his capacity as Director General of FSPEEJ, stressed the crucial importance of a concerted and comprehensive approach to ensure the full development of young talents in the digital field.
To demonstrate the concrete progress achieved, 37 young people were awarded their digital and metaverse certification, the result of training provided jointly by FSPEEJ and Africa Digital Academy. This success eloquently illustrates the relevance and effectiveness of initiatives aimed at strengthening the digital skills of young talents in the country.
Ultimately, this first Forum on digital skills and youth employment truly marked a crucial step in the promotion and development of digital talents in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
