Critique by Jean Bamanisa Saidi on the current state of the Sacred Union: Towards a necessary redefinition of the presidium

Fatshimétrie: Jean Bamanisa Saidi’s criticism of the current state of the political coalition

The Congolese political scene is coming alive again as Jean Bamanisa Saidi, senator of Tshopo and former governor of Orientale province, plays a critical role in the current state of the presidium of the Sacred Union of the Nation. During a press briefing held in Kisangani, he pointed out what he perceives as a major dysfunction within the political coalition led by the current Head of State.

According to Bamanisa, the current presidium of the Sacred Union is in crisis, if not non-existent. Indeed, the members of this presidium such as Kamerhe, Mboso, Sama, Bemba, A. Kabuya and Lukwebo now occupy different positions, whether as national deputies, ministers or senators. This situation naturally leads the former governor to demand an immediate redefinition of the presidium of the coalition.

This observation raises crucial questions about the governance of the Sacred Union and the ability of its leaders to remain faithful to their initial mission. Indeed, the presidium had been formed with the aim of supporting the Head of State’s victorious candidacy in the elections. However, the transition to other political functions has apparently called into question the cohesion and effectiveness of this leadership.

Furthermore, Jean Bamanisa Saidi also draws attention to the proliferation of political parties within the coalition, pointing out an excessive fragmentation that harms the effectiveness of political action. This multiplicity of political forces within the Sacred Union seems to contradict the initial idea of bringing together the major political forces.

In a context where the search for consensus and unity is more necessary than ever, Jean Bamanisa Saidi’s critical observations raise legitimate questions about the future of the political coalition led by Félix Tshisekedi. He calls for a deep reflection on the structure and objectives of the Sacred Union, in order to avoid the mistakes of the past and to guarantee effective and coherent governance for the future of the Congolese nation.
