Fatshimetrie October 17, 2024 – An exceptional hearing took place at the High Military Court of the Democratic Republic of Congo, shedding light on a scandal of embezzlement of public funds involving Major General Mpezo, former commander of the 34th military region, and his financial director, Colonel Mboma. The public prosecutor requested a five-year prison sentence for the accused for their alleged involvement in acts of financial embezzlement.
