The Nigeria U-20 national team, also known as the Flying Eagles, is gearing up to conquer the 2024 WAFU B U-20 Championship to be held in Lome, Togo. Under the leadership of head coach Aliyu Zubair, the selection of talents like midfielder Nasiru Salihu and striker Charles Agada has generated excitement and optimism among football fans in Nigeria.

The twenty players selected by Aliyu Zubair and the twelve members of the technical staff arrived in Lome after an intensive one-week training camp programme at the state-of-the-art Remo Stars training complex in Ogun State.
The Chairman of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club, Remo Stars, Hon. Kunle Soname, has generously promised a reward of N5 million to the Flying Eagles if they successfully defend their title and bring home the championship trophy. Before they left the Remo Stars complex, Soname also donated N1 million to the team as a token of support and motivation.
The Flying Eagles, the current title holders, are determined to shine on the pitch and win the competition again, which promises to be intense and competitive. Their first match will be against the talented Burkina Faso in Group B, which also includes Cote d’Ivoire. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament.
