Fatshimetrie, August 2025 – As part of an initiative to support the development of the communes of the city of Kinshasa, 15 neighborhoods recently benefited from office furniture manufactured by the builders of the National Service. This ceremony, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Interior and Security, highlighted the importance of this collaboration to strengthen local administration and improve the working conditions of civil servants.
The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the crucial role of the National Service in training young Congolese people and integrating them into projects of public interest. Thanks to this initiative, these young people, who were previously idle, were able to acquire useful skills in areas such as construction and furniture. This transformation reflects the vision of the President of the Republic who believes in the importance of investing in young people for the good of Congolese society.
Jacquemain Shabani highlighted the importance of maintaining this positive momentum and encouraging young people to continue on this path. He stressed that despite the daily challenges, significant progress has been made and that this furniture will contribute to improving the working conditions of municipal administrations.
The Commander of the National Service recalled that every Congolese citizen has a role to play in the development of the country and that love for one’s homeland is essential to achieve this common goal. He also stressed the Head of State’s commitment to ensuring that state workers benefit from adequate working conditions.
This furniture delivery marks an important step in the journey of these young builders, trained for two years in public interest work. By offering their know-how to their municipalities, they actively contribute to the construction and operation of local administrations.
In conclusion, this initiative demonstrates the Congolese government’s commitment to youth and local development. It also highlights the importance of collaboration between the various institutions to strengthen public administration and provide optimal working conditions for municipal officials.
