**Fatshimetrie: Spectacular growth in state revenue for the 2024-2025 financial year**
The latest report released by the Ministry of Finance reveals encouraging news for the national economy. The total revenue of the state budget for the 2024-2025 financial year recorded a remarkable increase, reaching LE294 billion in the first two months, an increase of 42% compared to the same period of the previous financial year when revenue stood at LE206.8 billion.
The most striking element of this explosive growth is the meteoric rise in tax revenue which soared by 50.7% to reach LE260 billion, compared to LE172.4 billion in the same period of the previous year. This sharp increase is largely attributable to income taxes which increased by 26.7% to reach LE64.1 billion in the space of two months. Value-added tax (VAT) revenues also increased by 47.4% to LE111 billion, while property tax revenues grew by an impressive 83.4% to LE64.4 billion.
Beyond taxation, non-tax revenues also recorded a remarkable performance, amounting to LE34 billion for the months of July and August. This diversification of revenue sources attests to the robustness of the economy and the positive dynamics driving public finances.
This upward trend in government revenues reflects a favorable economic environment and rigorous management of public finances. The tax reform measures implemented have clearly borne fruit, providing a solid foundation for the country’s economic development and meeting the basic needs of the population.
In conclusion, the spectacular growth in state revenues for the 2024-2025 fiscal year is excellent news for the Egyptian economy, demonstrating positive dynamics and promising development potential for the future.
