Fatshimetrie, October 1, 2024 – In a relentless effort to promote hygiene and land regularization, the authorities of Gemena, the capital of the Sud-Ubangi province in the Democratic Republic of Congo, recently launched a major operation of hygiene control and land parcel records. This initiative, led by the mayor of the city, Jacob Luba, aims to improve the living conditions of residents by ensuring adequate hygiene standards and regularizing land documents.
Indeed, noting that many plots in the city did not have sufficient sanitation facilities was the driving force behind this operation. Mayor Jacob Luba stressed that this approach also aimed to identify each plot, thus encouraging owners to regularize their land documents. It is essential to note that non-compliance with hygiene standards and administrative requirements would result in fines for offenders, thus emphasizing the importance of compliance with the regulations in force.
This action is a continuation of the previous initiative called “Gemena Bopeto”, which focused on promoting the cleanliness of public spaces in the city. Indeed, the municipality of Gemena attaches great importance to the environment and the well-being of its citizens, demonstrating a constant commitment to improving urban living conditions.
The hygiene control and land register operation, which will last for a period of 15 days, is being deployed in the four municipalities of the city of Gemena, thus reaching the entire local population. This proximity approach, involving door-to-door visits, demonstrates the commitment of local authorities to establishing sustainable practices in terms of hygiene and urban planning, with the ultimate goal of providing a healthy and regular living environment for all residents of Gemena.
In conclusion, this operation of hygiene control and land registers in Gemena illustrates the desire of local authorities to promote adequate hygiene and urban planning standards, while encouraging citizens to comply with the regulations in force. Through these actions, the municipality of Gemena demonstrates its commitment to the well-being of its population and to improving the quality of urban life in a spirit of collective responsibility and respect for the environment.
Thus, everyone is invited to contribute to the beautification and sanitation of the city, making Gemena a model to follow in terms of sustainable urban management and the promotion of quality of life for all.
