A Light of Hope: The Electrical Transformation from Lubunga to Kisangani

A major step forward in the field of electricity: the brilliant project to rehabilitate the electric current in the commune of Lubunga in Kisangani.

A dynamic team from the National Electricity Company (SNEL), led by Clément Tshimpanga, made an impression by conducting an assessment visit to the works related to the project to rehabilitate the electric current in the commune of Lubunga, in Kisangani. This initiative demonstrates SNEL’s unwavering commitment to improving the living conditions of the inhabitants of this locality in crucial need of electricity.

The main objective of this visit was to assess the work to secure a pylon that was threatening to collapse. This preventive action made it possible to avoid an imminent disaster that would have plunged the commune of Lubunga into darkness. Thanks to the resources implemented and the quality of the work carried out, the sustainability of these electrical infrastructures is ensured, thus guaranteeing constant access to electricity for citizens.

In addition, the field visit also allowed for the inspection of three cabins intended to supply electricity to different districts of the commune of Lubunga. The efficiency of the work carried out was praised, in particular the installation of a charging cabin in the Wagenya district and the complete renovation of the card cabin, indicating that the project objectives have been 100% achieved.

This exemplary approach by SNEL is accompanied by a strong desire to work closely with the local population. By encouraging the community to take ownership of electrical installations, the electricity company aims to strengthen the bonds of trust with residents and deter acts of fraud or cable theft.

The mayor of the commune of Lubunga, Baudouin Kayongo Bulaya, stressed the importance of including new districts in the electrification process, calling on residents to support and actively participate in this collective approach.

In conclusion, the project to rehabilitate the electric current in the commune of Lubunga in Kisangani proves to be a concrete example of commitment and progress in electrification. This significant initiative undeniably contributes to improving the living conditions of the inhabitants and to boosting local development.
