In the heart of the city of Beni, in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, is the Chiko Tshitambwe Primary School, a true bastion of education for the children of the military and their dependents. With the start of the 2024-2025 school year, more than nine hundred children have passed through the doors of this institution, a symbol of hope and commitment to education in this region tormented by conflict and insecurity.

Led with passion by Héritier Luhindo Ombeni, the Chiko Tshitambwe Primary School embodies the commitment and determination of its promoter, General Chiko Tshitambwe. Since its creation in 2018, the school has risen to the rank of the best educational institutions in the region, offering quality education to the children of the military and civilians residing in the surrounding neighborhoods.

The enrollment of more than nine hundred children at the Chiko Tshitambwe primary school is a testament to the importance given to education by the military community and the civilian populations of Beni. Indeed, five hundred children of military dependents and three hundred and seventy-four children from civilian families have found refuge in this school, thus benefiting from the opportunity to learn and develop in an environment conducive to their development.

General Chiko Tshitambwe’s vision goes beyond the simple framework of primary education, since the school also includes nursery and secondary classes, offering children a complete and diversified education. Thanks to his personal funding, General Chiko Tshitambwe ensures the smooth running of the school and the support of teachers, thus guaranteeing quality teaching and optimal learning conditions.

In conclusion, the Chiko Tshitambwe primary school embodies a true model of educational excellence in the Beni region. By providing quality education to the children of military personnel and civilians, it contributes to the growth and development of Congolese youth, making education an essential pillar of reconstruction and stability in the region. This commendable initiative deserves to be welcomed and supported, as it embodies the hope of a better future for future generations in Congo.
